Election Show 2008 is a completely improvised election where the audience votes for the winner. What makes it different though is that it is a nonpartisan political comedy show. It features no real political issues (no war, taxes, etc.). We use our own candidates, our own political parties and our candidate's platforms are chosen by the audience. If one candidate promises to shorten the workday from eight hours to four while the other promises to create a new branch of the military comprised entirely of ninjas, the people's will rules.
It mocks the election process, politicians, the two party system and the endless media coverage so everyone can relate to it.
Eleection Show 2008 opens Thursday night, Sept. 4th @ 8:00 PM @ the Historic University Theater; 5510 University Way NE.
